communication of February 25th relative to Messrs. Reiss & Co. of Hong Kong.

We regret having had to trouble you with this matter, but our business in Hong Kong and statione managed by Hong Kong hee suffered considerably owing to existing conditions, and, we found it indispensable to have some kind of assurance from the Colonial Office, that by appointing Messrs. Reise & Co. joint Agents with Messrs. Sanders, Rehders & Co. Ltd., our business at dongkong would be allow- ed to continue its course unhampered.
